The staff was incredibly attentive, even allowing us to customize our dining experience, they catered to my wife's food preferences flawlessly. the breakfast spread was stunning, with the freshest eggs and the best pastries I've ever had.
It wasn’t cheap, more like a hefty price tag but still reasonable for what we got.

We had such a lovely time at the hotel where the staff made us feel incredibly welcome and helped us out with some special dietary requests. The beautiful gardens and cozy lounges were perfect for relaxing and enjoying the peaceful surroundings. The only thing we noticed was that the menu could use a bit more variety, but honestly, the food we had was fantastic! 😊

Stunning Dartmoor Views, Exquisite Garden Spaces, Unique Afternoon Tea Setup
The winding access roads are a nightmare, making it tough to reach without a sturdy vehicle!!! Room temperature control could use an upgrade and the dining area really needs a livelier atmosphere!!!

The drive in is a bit tricky, with narrow winding roads making you wish you had a speeder instead of a car – a good reverse parking practice is a must. The bathroom layout feels a touch odd without doors separating the areas, which might not suit everyone’s taste. Be cautious on the slippery floors if you're wearing hotel slippers after a shower. the food menu could benefit from more variety day to day, perhaps switching up the soup in particular. Lastly, if you slotted a valley view room in your itinerary, double-check with the hotel. there could be some discrepancies with what's offered versus what you might expect.

Our stay was a delightful getaway, with breathtaking views from our Deluxe Double Room. The staff was incredibly accommodating, allowing us to customize our meals, which made dining all the more enjoyable. The breakfast spread was excellent, featuring the freshest eggs and pastries that I've ever had. The beautiful grounds added to the serene atmosphere, making it a perfect retreat.

Located deep within Dartmoor, the beautiful surroundings are a feast for the eyes. The open pantry located near the rooms provides a lovely touch, allowing for private tea and coffee making without needing to involve the staff.
While the grounds are stunning, the access roads leading to the hotel are frustratingly narrow and winding, making for a less than ideal arrival. The dining menu could use more variety. the light dining options lack excitement, and afternoon tea didn’t impress, as the fillings were noticeably scant. Breakfast service lagged significantly. our order took an age and arrived incorrectly. it's disheartening to see hefty service charges that felt disproportionate to the overall experience.

Just spent a fantastic weekend with friends exploring the area. We hiked along the beautiful Mariners Way and enjoyed the peaceful grounds, which included tennis, bowling, and a putting course. Our room was cozy, and the staff was friendly. Breakfast was great too! Definitely recommend grabbing a lunch hamper for your outings!
The dinner menu was a bit limited during our stay since we were looking forward to trying more options.
